Knockity LLC (“Knockity”) connects real estate buyers and sellers directly to transact comfortably and confidently. We may also refer you to real estate professionals and service providers should you want further assistance with real estate. However, we will only refer you with your prior permission.

By using the Knockity website, associated data, and/or associated services (collectively “Service” or Services”), you agree to be bound by this Terms of Use Agreement (“Agreement” or “Terms of Use”). If you do not agree with the Terms of Use, do not use Knockity’s Services. Any use of Knockity’s Services indicates your agreement to be bound by the Terms of Use.

We believe that there is a simpler and more fair way to do real estate. We also believe that Use Agreements don’t need to be complex and this is our attempt to create a simple use agreement. This Agreement may be updated at any time as posted on the Knockity website. It is your responsibility to monitor and review for any changes to the Terms of Use.

Terms for Sellers and Buyers

Anyone who uses Knockity’s Services to support the sale or purchase of real property agrees to the following terms:

  1. Knockity is not a real estate brokerage and does not provide brokerage services.
  2. Our goal is to provide you with tools and services that help you conduct real estate transactions confidently and comfortably. In order for this to occur, you need to provide us with as much accurate information as possible about you including your contact information, your property, and/or the types of properties you are looking to purchase.
  3. We hope that you’ll be able to connect directly as buyers and sellers to save lots of money on your real estate transaction. In case you would like assistance with any part of your real estate transaction, we may offer to introduce you to a real estate professional through means including, but not limited to, ads and other Services. Real estate professionals include, but are not limited to, licensed real estate brokers and salespersons, appraisers, lenders, designers, stagers, and photographers.
  4. Any introduction you accept is considered a referral for which we, or a partner of our choosing, may receive compensation from the real estate professional and his or her employer.
  5. When you accept the introduction to a real estate professional using our Services, you allow us to share your contact information to the real estate professional.
  6. Knockity does not endorse or guarantee the skills, knowledge, competencies, or activities of real estate professionals you are introduced to through our Services.
  7. Your ability to use our services may be terminated by us at any time with written notice. However, you will remain bound to the terms of any and all referral agreements made between you and us prior to this termination.
  8. We have the right to modify or remove any information you provide us if we consider it to be inaccurate or inappropriate.
  9. You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold Knockity LLC, its employees, partners, officers, owners, shareholders, and subsidiaries harmless from any claims, legal costs, attorney’s fees, and damages incurred by anyone other than yourself due to the use of our Services.

Terms for Professionals

Professionals agree to these additional terms:

  1. You are responsible for holding and maintaining your own valid and active license in good standing in the jurisdictions where you are providing services (e.g. brokerage, sales, appraisal, etc).
  2. Any contact information you provide us may be shared with other users of the Services.
  3. Any information you provide us is honest, accurate, and owned wholly by you. You will promptly update any information that is inaccurate.
  4. Any information you provide us may be used for display, marketing, or other purposes deemed appropriate by Knockity.
  5. We have the right to modify or remove any information you provide us if we consider it to be inaccurate or inappropriate.
  6. You may not initiate direct contact with users of the Knockity website and Services. Users may initiate contact with you.
  7. You will cease any communications with users of the Knockity website and Services when requested by the user or Knockity.
  8. Any contact you make with a Knockity user is a referral to you by Knockity for which you agree to pay a referral fee to Knockity or a partner of our choice. The terms for this referral fee will be discussed with you when appropriate.
  9. You will not refer the referral to any other party without our written consent.
  10. Your ability to use our services may be terminated by us at any time with written notice. However, you will remain bound to the terms of any and all referral agreements made between you and us prior to this termination.
  11. You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold Knockity LLC, its employees, partners, officers, owners, shareholders, and subsidiaries harmless from any claims, legal costs, attorney’s fees, and damages incurred by Knockity arising from claims by users of the Services due to your acts or omissions. In the case in which you and Knockity are deemed contributorily liable, each party will be responsible for costs directly proportional to their liability.

Additional Terms Applicable to All Users of the Services

Anyone who uses Knockity’s Services agrees to these additional terms:

  1. The applicable law for this agreement shall be the Commonwealth of Virginia, without regard to its conflict of laws principle. You consent that the venue for adjudication of any claims or disputes to be in Fairfax County, Virginia, or, if appropriate, any Federal court located in the Federal Eastern District of Virginia. If any provision of this agreement is determined to be invalid or unenforceable by a court of competent jurisdiction, then the invalid or unenforceable provision shall be severed from the Agreement.
  2. You will not engage in or promote unlawful, offensive, inappropriate, or abusive acts or behaviors using the Services.
  3. You will abide by any and all applicable Fair Housing Act laws and regulations, including any similar state and local government laws.
  4. Knockity is not responsible for the accuracy of any information available on the Services.
  5. The Services are provided “as is,” without warranty of any kind. Without limiting the foregoing, Knockity expressly disclaims all warranties, whether express, implied or statutory, regarding the service including without limitation any warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, security, accuracy and non-infringement. Without limiting the foregoing, Knockity makes no warranty or representation that access to or operation of the Services will be uninterrupted or error free. You assume full responsibility and risk of loss resulting from your downloading and/or use of files, information, content or other material obtained from the service.
  6. All files and information contained in this website are copyright by Knockity, and may not be duplicated, copied, modified or adapted, in any way without our written permission. Our website or blog may contain our service marks or trademarks as well as those of our affiliates other companies, in the form of words, graphics, and logos. Your use of our Website, Blog or Services does not constitute any right or license for you to use our service marks or trademarks, without the prior written permission of Knockity. Our content, as found within our Website, blog and services, is protected under United States and foreign copyrights. The copying, redistribution, use or publication by you of any such content, is strictly prohibited. Your use of our website and services does not grant you any ownership rights to our Content.
